As a sous chef, you'll be a key asset to the team. You'll act as the store manager's right-hand person and closest advisor. It's crucial that you make independent decisions and stand by them. You should thrive on maintaining your composure, being adaptable, and ready to act when unforeseen situations arise on a busy day. You'll be a strong player in the daily operations, responsible for day-to-day management while setting the pace and energy behind the counter, ensuring a great atmosphere.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing our guests with an outstanding service experience in the store.
- Being the store manager’s right-hand and taking over in their absence.
- Assisting in training, developing, and coaching our staff and shift leaders
- Handling light administrative duties such as ordering goods, procurement, shift schedule adjustments, responding to customer inquiries, etc.
The ideal candidate for this job:
- Has experience as a leader/supervisor/shift manager in a similar role at a busy café/restaurant
- Loves to "keep up the pace" and lead the team
- Understands that service and quality go hand in hand and is ready to provide exceptional guest service
- Is flexible and steps in when necessary. You should see the benefits of working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, since we're open year-round and busy when others are off.
- Is prepared to work during spring holidays and cover much of the summer with a maximum of two weeks of consecutive summer vacation (during the summer vacation period).
- Enjoys ice cream and has no issues with quality assurance 😉
