As assistant manager, you will be a cornerstone of the team, acting as the store manager’s right hand and closest sparring partner. It's important that you're confident in making and owning your own decisions. You should enjoy keeping your cool, be quick to adapt, and able to respond proactively when unexpected situations arise on a busy day. You'll be a driving force in daily operations, responsible for leading the team while setting the tone and ensuring a positive energy behind the counter.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Delivering an exceptional service experience to our guests in the shop
• Acting as the store manager’s right hand and stepping in during their absence
• Helping to train, mentor, and develop our team members and shift leaders
• Light administrative tasks, including order placement, purchasing, shift scheduling, responding to customer inquiries, etc.

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous experience as a supervisor or shift manager in a busy café or restaurant environment
• Loves leading during rushes and sets a great example for the team
• Understands that service and quality go hand in hand, and is committed to providing top-notch guest service
• Is flexible and willing to help out whenever needed. You'll appreciate the benefits of working variable hours – days, evenings, weekends, and holidays – since we're open year-round and busiest when others are off.
• Is ready to work on public holidays in the spring and throughout the summer, with up to two consecutive weeks off during the summer holiday period.
• Enjoys ice cream and is always happy to help with quality checks 😉
